The Comfiest Summer Romper | Amy West Travel

There is nothing quite so effortless and chic to sport during the summer than a smart little romper. I used to think that rompers weren't ideal for my body type. I have a long torso and many times the inseam is just way to short. However, as popularity in these simple one pieces has climbed, so have the options. With a little hunting, it's possible to find a romper that compliments your body type. For me, what works best is looking for designs that have a looser fit. This striped button up halter romper from Urban Outfitters was the perfect fit and I've had so many questions about it I had to share.

Nothing is more classic than stripes, or more perfect for all those patriotic summer holidays. Not only does it exude a timeless sense of style, this airy little number is extremely comfy. It's pretty much up there with pajamas in my book, which takes it to the top of my list of "Must Have" summer staples. In Florida, it's hot and steamy for at least six months out of the year, believe me comfy is key.

Styling Notes

This was my July 4th outfit so I had a little fun with the sunnies. With or without the flag, though, I do really love the aviator style with this look. My boater hat has been on repeat all summer and never ceases to attract lots of compliments. It adds a little charm to any outfit. I added my new favorite bare minerals lip gloss to contrast with the soft blues. As a final touch I completed the look with my new Coach Market Tote in the perfect shade of blue.

Easy. Effortless. Chic. These are the pillars of my personal style. I love fun looks that have color and make a statement, but are still comfortable enough to wear over and over again to multiple venues.

What summer staples do you have on repeat? I'd love to hear about it in the comments below.

Until then...

Enjoy the Journey!
