3 Days in NYC | Girls Getaway | Photo Recap

6/03/2014

A few weeks ago I went on a "Girls Getaway" to NYC. One of my dearest friends lives in the city and it has become an annual tradition to visit in May. Last year it was rainy and cold, but the weather couldn't have been better this year. The city was in full bloom and the temperature was perfect for hitting the streets and looking for adventure. I had a entire day to myself to explore and do whatever I want. This was a first for me in the six times I've visited the city. I took full advantage of the opportunity and had the most amazing day. That was just the beginning of a fantastic weekend with one of my best friends, as we ate some amazing food, laughed til we cried, and shopped til we dropped.

First day, right out of the gate. Absolutely gorgeous!
Vibrant colors lead the way to Grand Central Station

This image captures so much that is amazing about Grand Central.
The constellations, the Chandeliers, and Amercian Patriotism

The Guggenheim had been on my bucket list for a while.
Thanks to a free pass from my buddy, I spent hours here. A-mazing

A walk... and a hot dog in Central Park gave me NYC warm fuzzies...
I've always had a sweet spot in my heart for the park. I've been coming here since I was 15.
So many movies, and tv shows I've seen in the city and park... it's always surreal to be there in person.

I always come across the most amazing musicians while strolling.

There is no way a photo could come close to capturing the colors...

A revealing look into Lauren's antique clothing collection. Absurdly beautiful pieces.
See more of Lauren and her amazing talents in my blog about her trip to Carnevale.
The details will take your breath away.

Blooms in Brooklyn
This was my first visit to Brooklyn
I asked to go with Lauren to an estate sale. She is a pro!
A steal she found at the Estate Sale.
A stroll through Brooklyn's ultra hip decor shops. So much to take in!

It was a memorable trip, with so many moments I don't want to forget. I can't wait to return hopefully in the fall and bring back more great experiences to share with you.

Until then...

Enjoy the Journey!
