One Ocean Resort and Spa's restaurant Azurea is one of the finest spots for ocean side dining on the first coast. A personal favorite of mine, One Ocean has been featured multiple times on the blog and I still can't get enough. From the second episode of the first season of my TV show, to a feature on their High Tea at Azurea, One Ocean never disappoints. That's why when I heard of the Jazz brunch this season, I knew I had to experience it, and report for my readers all the delicious details. Here are my:

 3 Reasons to
Escape to Azurea
On the menu:
A Sigh of Relief Martini and Mango Martini
On the menu:
Fresh Baked Pastries, and Muffins

1. History Repeated
Before One Ocean Resort reigned as monarch of the Atlantic Beach shore, an old friend to the locals stood in it's place, The Sea Turtle Inn. Once hailed as a wedding destination and fine dining "go to", it seems brunch was also somewhat of a local tradition. Azurea meets the request of the locals by bringing back the weekend fixture in the ultimate seaside escape. Let the melodic rhapsody of Jazz musicians ease your mind into the pace of the weekend as the seabreeze melts away the tension of the week. Wide blue umbrella's shade you from the heat of the sun as it grows higher in the sky, allowing you ample time to sit back and enjoy the impeccable service of Azurea's staff on the verandina. Whether you're a guest, or a first coast resident, you'll agree you've found the perfect getaway.

On the menu:
Sliced Seasonal Fruit Plate
berries, citrus yogurt dressing
On the menu:
Lemondrop Martini

2. Paradise on a Plate
Award winning Chef Ted Peters and crew bring you a classic selection of "First Coast" inspired fare. Luxurious Lobster Tail Benedict, the Grouper Tacos, and the Mayport Sunrise all pay homage to the coastal culture that One Ocean Resort calls home. Pair any of their exquisite selections with the seasonal Grand Julep, Sigh of Relief , or Mango Martini and you have an effortless combination that will leave you breathless. Colorful fruit plates, and made from scratch pastries all compliment the taste buds with a delicate balance of sweet and salty while calling for freshly squeezed juice to round them out. If you are looking to finish with a flourish Azurea has something for everyone's sweet tooth, in my case, a decadent peanut butter chocolate torte prepared by Pastry Chef Stephanie Costa, and a classic cappuccino for the finale.

From the moment you walk in the door at
One Ocean, smiling faces await to escort you to your destination. Whether that be your room, a spa escape, or Azurea's casually sophisticated brunch your needs are meet without stop. Dedicated to keeping you "Always in Your Element", this destination sets the bar when it comes to service. The wait staff are knowledgeable about every detail of the menu and eager to help you make your selection whatever your desired flavor profile may be. Savory, sweet, tangy, or tart, their job is to make your decision effortless. Our server Janelle was the prime example of what One Ocean's signature service is all about.
